It was well executed and I'm glad it worked so well.  As I saw this happening, I saw plain links being sent directing the traffic.  I was curious what additional insight into the social networking experiment would have been available if they had used &lt;a href="http://BudURL.com" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" title="BudURL.com"&gt;BudURL.com&lt;/a&gt; to send out the links. Absolutely, social media works for recruiting. The Bazaarvoice example is terrific. Something else to consider-- the quality of applicants. Social media has a "personal referral" element that helps you find more qualified applicants.
